    Well-cited painters drawn from Wikidata, placed by birth and death dates and grouped by movement, with uncertain dates shown as given. The dataset is currently bookended from Giotto to Cézanne.

    Select a painter to see the recorded relationships running to and from them across the whole atlas.

    A formal vocabulary.

    Based on the CIDOC-CRM and Linkedart ontologies, the database is structured in accordance with research principles, to improve data viisibility.

    Search by the names people use.

    Improve on the search functionalities with aliases and alternatives.

    Locations as first-class citizens, so you can follow where painters trained and worked and what collections hold which material.
